So I finally decided to create my own blog to share my experience in the cake world. Thank you for all those who have supported me and promoted my work ... I truly love you guys and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have any cakes to make :)
I guess I will start by giving a bit of background about myself ...
My name is Jenna and I started baking at a young age due to my anaphylaxis (deadly) allergy to dairy and nut products. Growing up, I was hardly able to eat desserts so I decided to bake my own. I began reinventing recipes substituting dairy & nut products with all new ingredients.
I graduated in 2008 from Rutgers University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and started my career in IT & Business Management Consulting. Like many others in this economy, I was laid off. While searching for a new job, I saw an add for Cake Decorating Class at a local AC Moore and decided to sign up to kill time ... and I was HOOKED! Little did I know I would get a job the same week.
Since March 2010, I have been cake decorating and absolutely LOVE it! I never knew all the possibilities one can do. Every cake I complete is a new challenge, it has been quite an experience but I have learned so much. I am happy to share my thoughts, ideas, new findings, and of course my cakes with everyone.
